Background

Brandy Alexander… where to begin? Gen X rocker chick here! I grew up listening to my “parent’s rock” of the 70’s as a young child, and I fell in love with the hair bands and grunge of the 80’s and 90’s as a teen. If there was a concert in town, you can bet I was there.

After a stint on my college radio station, I landed my first real job on FM radio in the late 90’s. I spent the next few decades up and down the dial on various stations in Western Pennsylvania, where I met a lot of cool people and played a lot of great rock!

So, why did I get out of radio? The short answer is that I got married and I wanted to spend more time with my husband, Matt, and my two step-sons, Mason & Dominic. We built a great life together in the country, where I get to hang out with our 3 dogs, 1 cat and 8 chickens. Yes, I’m also a crazy chicken lady!

How did I end up here? Well, I got a call out of the blue from Rick Rock in 2022. He told me about this cool new internet radio station that he was working for and asked if I wanted to get back into it. So, here I am… rocking out with you on DCX Rocks from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm every weekday. And, I’m loving every minute of it!
